websites. Whether you have a last minute question or
just want to know whats new on your class websites,
HomeRoom can help.
As a student you have complete control over your classes
and how you interact with them. Finding and registering
for classes is easy!
Registering For Courses
HomeRoom allows you to find and register for any VirtualOffice website.
Once registered you can post to class forums, track your questions,
obtain a full list of all new content since your last login, get a quick view
of all the days calendar events, and much more!
Tracking Your Questions and Forums
Have you ever had a last minute question you needed answered the night before
a big exam? Do you find yourself stuck on a homework problem you just
can't seem to answer? HomeRoom allows you to submit those questions to the course
Virtual TAs and course forums, and track them!
As soon as your question is answered, you may receive an email with
the answer. If you post a question or comment to one of the course forums
you can track the thread. As soon as someone replies to the thread you can
be notified and view their comments and replies.
Messaging Your Teacher
HomeRoom has a built-in message system that lets you and your teacher send
personal messages back and forth. Do you have a personal question about your grade,
tomorrows homework or exam? Send your teacher a message! As you reply to
each other a record is kept of your messages, to which you can both easily refer.
Your Personal Calendar
Maintaining a personal calendar is easy in your HomeRoom. You can create reminders
about any personal or school-related matters. Have an upcoming game you just cant miss?
A project you need to get finished? Add it to your calendar and you'll be reminded
when you log into your HomeRoom.
Your Profile
Whenever you post to a forum or register on a course website your
teacher and fellow classmates can learn more about you and your
interests by viewing your profile. Since you have complete control of your profile,
you can choose to disclose as much or as little about yourself as you want.
You can even upload your photo!
Digital Drop Box
Can't make it to class today? Forgot your homework at home? Now you can submit your
homework to your teachers online using your HomeRoom digital drop box. With your drop box
you can upload your homework and assignments, and place them in any course drop box!
Quick, easy, convenient, and above all, secure.
Online Study Groups
When you can't reach your teachers for help, your fellow students are your next best
bet! Forming and joining online study groups allows you to connect with students in your
class and around the world. You can post your questions and comments to private study
group forums, and upload resources and files to share exclusivley with your study group.
